Studio 880 and Engineer Brad Kobylczak had a busy November.
The R&B super group TGT, featuring Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank were at Studio 880 recording for the first time together. Before their performance at the Paramount Theater in downtown Oakland, TGT made some time to record some vocal tracks for an industry demo.
Session drummer and producer Brain Mantia was laying down drum tracks for an upcoming Bootsy Collins track. The song features Chuck D of Public Enemy on vocals.
Producer/ DJ Amp Live of the bay area hip hop group Zion I was in session tracking drums for upcoming artist C. Holiday. Michael Urbano (Flipsyde/ Smash Mouth) was on hand for the session drumming.
The Studio 880 crew was out in the mobile recording field once again, this time for a Lenny Kravitz live performance at The Fillmore. Kravitz performed 6 songs for an intimate audience of 500. Axe and Wal Mart Sound Check sponsored the performance for an upcoming DVD release.
